WELCOME TO RASCAL ROBOT ART SPACE
A creative community for Tasmanian children and young people where they can be uniquely themselves. A space where individuals can express themselves, learn valuable skills, foster connections, and experience a sense of wonderment.
Founded in 2019 by four friends around a kitchen table, Rascal Robot Art Space is a for purpose community organisation.
There are dance schools for kids into dance, sporting clubs for the “sport kids”, all manner of academic tutoring, and more extracurricular STEM activities than you can poke a piece of copper wire at.
But where do the art kids go? The ones that would rather have pencils and paper than a footy, or modelling clay instead of a tutu. And where do their parents go for #homecraftinspo? Or even participate themselves?
We are artists first, working side-by-side with our young proteges in a friendly environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth.
HOW CAN WE HELP?
Rascal Robot Art Space has already become a beloved part of the West Tamar community. As we continue to grow, we’re dedicated to making the school holidays a breeze for parents looking for activities that get kids away from The Screen, as well as hosting special after school events.
While we can (and do!) teach technical skills, we really strive to instil a love of making, experimentation, and creativity in all the young artists that visit Rascal Robot.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Artists need space to dream, to create, to inspire and to be inspired - it's why we created this place! Not everyone has an equipped art studio at home so we made one for you.
We believe in the very real benefits of art and creativity for young people, and that artistic and creative pursuits are necessary to childrens’ development.
All ages and levels are welcome, so please say hello! Join our mailing list to find out what's coming up soon.
